EMBS Group achieves triple ISO certification – including ISO 42001 for AI

We’re proud to announce that EMBS Group has been awarded ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 42001 – making us one of only a handful of recruitment businesses in the UK to hold all three, and among the first to achieve the new global standard for AI management.

A closer look at each standard

ISO 27001 – Information Security. Recruitment involves handling significant volumes of personal data: CVs, contact details, salary information, right-to-work documents. ISO 27001 is the gold standard for information security management. Achieving it means our systems, processes, and people meet rigorous controls for protecting that data – and that those controls are independently audited and renewed.
ISO 9001 – Quality Management. This standard covers the consistency and quality of our service delivery from end to end. It means we don’t just promise a great candidate experience or a reliable hiring process – we document it, measure it, and have it independently verified. For clients working to strict supplier governance requirements, ISO 9001 simplifies due diligence.
ISO 42001 – AI Management. Published in December 2023, ISO 42001 is the world’s first international standard for AI management systems. It sets out how organisations should govern the development, deployment, and use of AI responsibly – covering transparency, bias mitigation, human oversight, and accountability.

For Peak Intelligence – our AI literacy training and consulting division – ISO 42001 carries particular significance. We help organisations understand and responsibly adopt AI.
