EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in North Nottingham, that is currently in the market for multi-skilled CNC Machinists to join their existing, talented team on a Permanent basis. 

This leading company has a strong reputation and long-standing presence in the precision engineering sector, specialising in the production of high-quality, complex components for the Aerospace, Energy/Oil & Gas, and Industrial markets.

Working with some of the world's biggest names, you will have an opportunity to challenge yourself in supplying safety-critical components for global market leaders.

Key Benefits on offer:

  • Stability / Longevity: Permanent
  • Competitive salary: £30 - 45k per annum, inc shift allowance + overtime
  • Hours: Double Days (Mornings & Afternoons) or 3 shift pattern rotating (Mornings, Afternoons, and Nights)
  • Benefits:
  • Shift allowance - between 15% and 20%
  • Opportunity when fully trained to earn between 47 - 52k per annum (£23 - £26 per hour including shift allowances)

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, this includes: 
  • CNC Turning/Milling or both
  • CNC Mill Turn experience
  • Confident with either Mazatrol, Siemens, or Fanuc control systems 
  • Experience setting, operating, and editing multi-axis CNC machines
  • Previously machined complex parts for precision industries including Aerospace, Motorsport, Nuclear, MOD, Oil & Gas, Medical, etc
  • Experience working with small to medium batch sizes and medium to large-sized components 
  • Experience with machining to tight tolerances
  • Confident using manual measuring equipment


Your responsibilities include:

  • Setting and operating  CNC Turning/ Milling or Mill Turn machines, depending on experience using Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens controls 
  • Machining medium to large-sized, complex components in smaller batch sizes 
  • Performing multiple setups per day to produce components for various precision engineering sectors 
  • Self-inspecting components using manual measuring equipment to ensure you have achieved customer/industry standards
  • Intermitent machine maintenance
