The Opportunity:
EMBS Engineering is seeking a skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join a well-established and innovative precision engineering company located in Tamworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality components and further develop your engineering expertise within a supportive environment.
As a Production Engineer, you will support day-to-day production engineering for the CNC machining department, specifically working on multi axis machines, overseeing products from cradle to grave and supporting with R&R activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • CAD CAM Programming using Solidworks or Hypermill
  • Creating robust CNC programs and proving them out
  • Working closely with Design Engineers
  • Looking at machining efficiencies
  • Reverse engineering
  • Troubleshooting
  • Generating documentation and controls plans such as PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans, Flow Charts, NPI etc

About You:
We are looking for candidates who possess experience in both CAD CAM programming and manufacturing engineering. You will be confident supporting a wide range of production requirements to support the needs of a project and meet customer deadlines.

You will possess skills and experience in;
 
  • Precision engineering (5+ years)
  • Working as Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or CAD CAM Engineer or similar
  • Engineering & manufacturing methodologies and processes; APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Flow Charts, Capability Studies, Measurement System Analysis etc
  • Ability to create/build/prove out jigs and fixtures 
  • Using CAD CAM software to create CNC programs (Hypermill, Solidworks etc)
  • Online programming using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls 
  • Working on CNC Milling and/or Turning machines



Essential Requirements:
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Ability to commute to Tamworth, reside within a commutable distance or are considering relocation to this area.
     
 
This position requires the successful candidate to undergo UK security clearance. To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the above essential requirements. Please note that due to the security clearance requirements, we are unable to sponsor visas for this position.
