EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Derby, that is currently in the market for a Level 2 NDT Technician to join their company on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

Due to internal changes and continued success, our client is seeking an experienced Level 2 NDT Technician to support inspection and testing operations within their Manufacturing department.

As a Level 2 NDT Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations, including Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Visual Inspection, in accordance with approved procedures

  • Ensuring NDT equipment is maintained, calibrated, and suitable for operation

  • Interpreting and evaluating test results against defined acceptance standards

  • Preparing inspection reports and documentation for Level 3 approval

  • Ensuring all parts conform to customer and internal quality requirements

  • Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a safe, compliant working environment

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Level 2 Qualification in NDT (FPI / DPI)

  • Experience performing FPI and visual inspections within precision engineering or aerospace

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow technical procedures

  • Strong attention to detail and a right-first-time approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
