We’re working with an established and growing organisation within the software and technology space, looking to bring in a Software Tester to support the continued development of their platforms and systems.
Software Tester
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits
Location: Oxford / Hybrid working - 2-3 days onsite

The Role
As a Software Tester, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of applications across the business. You’ll work closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to identify issues early and help deliver robust solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases
Performing functional, regression, and exploratory testing
Identifying, logging, and tracking defects through to resolution
Collaborating with development teams to improve quality processes
Contributing to continuous improvement of testing practices
Supporting release cycles and ensuring smooth deployments
Tech Environment
You’ll be testing applications built with a modern, cloud-native stack, including:
Backend: .NET 8 / C#
Frontend: React, TypeScript
Cloud: Microsoft Azure (cloud-native architecture)
Architecture: Domain-Driven Design (DDD), clean architecture principles
Data: SQL Server, Cosmos DB
DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows
Additional exposure: Event-driven systems, microservices, and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)

What We’re Looking For
Around 5+ years’ experience in software testing or QA
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices
Experience with manual testing (automation exposure is a bonus)
Familiarity with defect tracking tools and Agile environments
ISTQB certification (preferred but not essential)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and a proactive mindset
Nice to Have
Experience with automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress)
Exposure to API or integration testing
Experience working with cloud-based or SaaS platforms
