Overview

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Press/Forging Section Team Leader to join a precision engineering company located in Leicester, working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the forging team's daily work, making sure production stays on schedule while following safety rules and quality standards
  • Ensure all team members follow process specifications and complete quality documentation
  • Clearly share daily goals, tasks, and priorities with the team
  • Record test and inspection results correctly following company standards
  • Operating and setting hot forging press machines day to day to machine precision engineering components 
  • Self-inspecting own parts using manual measuring equipment to meet customer specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Machining large batch sizes of small to medium-sized parts


Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience operating and/or leading teams in a manufacturing or engineering environment (preferably aerospace)
  • Strong experience in machining roles and confident with inspection equipment 
  • Can lead and motivate a team with clear communication and strong people skills
  • Able to use initiative, manage tasks, and adapt to fast-moving production changes
  • Careful and focused on quality and accuracy
