EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in the Nottingham, that is currently in the market for a Toolmaker to join their company on a permanent basis.

They supply high integrity machined parts, assemblies, and fabrications to the nuclear, defence, aerospace and energy sectors, supporting globally recognised customers with safety-critical, highly complex components.

Responsibilities
Due to continued success and growth, our client is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join their team within the Assembly department. Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, you will be responsible for producing precision tools, dies, molds, jigs and fixtures used in the production of high quality components.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manufacture, repair, and modify precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to exact specifications
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Operate and set up manual and CNC machinery, including milling machines, lathes and grinders
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of tools and molds to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with design and production teams to improve tool efficiency and resolve technical issues
Work with various materials, including steel, aluminium and composites, to achieve high tolerances
Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised workspace
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
Proven experience as a Toolmaker within a precision engineering environment
Strong technical knowledge and manual machining expertise
Experience operating and setting CNC and manual machine tools
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality
Experience working to tight tolerances with materials such as steel, aluminium and composites
Knowledge of health, safety and housekeeping standards
