What does the role involve?

EMBS Engineering are working in partnership with a leading global precision manufacturer who supply complex components to the Aerospace, Defence and Power industries. Due to recent fast paced growth of the business, our client is looking for a Quality Inspector to join their Quality team.

As a Quality Inspector, you will; 

  • Ensure that Inspection tasks are carried out as defined by the Job Card narrative, work instruction or customer drawing
  • Carry out 1st off, 100% visual and dimensional inspection, receipt inspection and CEO where required
  • Ensure any non-conforming parts are sentenced in accordance with the non-conformance process and key information is provided by Shop Floor personnel
  • Work as part of a team with colleagues to maximise factory efficiency

 


What experience do you need?​​​​​

  • Strong Quality Inspection experience
  • Worked within precision engineering / advanced manufacturing environments
  • Inspected parts which have been supplied into the aerospace industry - advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to perform first off, 100% visual and dimensional inspection, receipt inspection and CEO where required
  • Confidence using manual measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of geometric tolerances
  • Understanding of CMM
 

What do you get?​​​​​​

  • Permanent position
  • Hourly rate - £13.50 - £14.50 per hour starting salary (depending on experience) + shift allowance
  • Hours - Various shifts available
    • Day Shift; 6am to 6pm,  Monday to Thursday
    • Night Shift; 6pm to 6am,  Monday to Thursday
    • Weekend Days; 6am to 6pm, Friday to Sunday 
    • Weekend Nights; 6pm to 6am, Friday to Sunday
  • Overtime available at premium rates (x1/3 for 1st 12 hours, x1/2 after)

Who would suit this role?

This role would be ideal for a Quality Inspector or a Inspector. If you have worked as a CMM Inspector, CMM Programmer, Quality Inspector or a role of a similar nature then this role would be ideal for you.
