EMBS Engineering is actively seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established precision engineering company located in North Nottingham, on a permanent basis.

Hours: Days (7 am - 4 pm Monday to Thur, 7 am - 12 pm on Friday)

Your responsibilities include:

  • Perform planned and reactive mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain, service, and repair CNC lathes, milling machines, and associated equipment.
  • Minimise machine downtime and implement shop floor improvements to enhance efficiency. 

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in maintaining CNC manufacturing equipment, including lathes and milling machines.
  • Proficiency in pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, pumps, motors, and 3-phase electrical maintenance
  • Strong skills in control panel fault finding and repairs, as well as working knowledge of compressors and welding/fabrication techniques
  • Competence in performing maintenance tasks for facilities and infrastructure
  • IPAF and Forklift certifications (preferred).
  • IEE Regulations qualification (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazak/Mazatrol, and Haas control systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and automation technologies (advantageous).
