We’re partnered with a brilliant client who is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join their small but ambitious IT team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced developer who enjoys variety, thrives when given ownership, and wants to work across the full stack with a strong back-end focus.
Senior PHP Developer (Full-Stack, Back-End Focus)
Location: Remote (with 1 day per month in Lincoln)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Start: ASAP
The role
This is a role with real variety. You’ll take the lead on back-end PHP development (using frameworks like Laravel and Symfony), while also working on ERP and third-party API integrations, SQL database development, and, if you’re up for it, contributing to sysadmin and infrastructure tasks.
It’s a remote-first position, with just one day per month on-site in Lincoln, giving you the flexibility to work from home while still keeping that valuable in-person connection with the team.
What you’ll be doing
Leading back-end PHP development and building scalable, maintainable solutions
Designing, optimising, and maintaining SQL databases
Delivering ERP and API integrations to connect and streamline systems
Supporting front-end development with JavaScript, HTML, CSS (Vue.js or similar would be a bonus)
Working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Git, Jira), maintaining high coding standards and best practices
Getting involved in sysadmin/cloud hosting (AWS) when needed – perfect for someone who enjoys variety
Using your problem-solving mindset and collaborative approach to get things done
