CAD CAM Engineer
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000

EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a market-leading, precision engineering company that specialises in the manufacture of small to medium-sized, safety-critical components, supplied predominantly into the aerospace and defence markets.
This position is a critical, hands-on role and will involve supporting a busy engineering department in a technical capacity. You will be responsible for developing manufacturing methods including continuous improvements on existing products, managing NPI & improvement projects & supporting the day-to-day running of the department.

Your responsibilities include:
- Previous Manufacturing Engineering experience within a precision engineering / advanced manufacturing environment
- Preferably, experience having worked in the Aerospace industry or on components that are supplied into the Aerospace market
- Extensive engineering background
- Knowledge of multi-axis machining
- Ability to perform offline NC Programming using CAD CAM software (CATIA V5, EdgeCAM or Unigraphics)
- Ability to create programs online using Fanuc or Mazatrol software
- Knowledge of Vericut or other verification software
- Ability to identify a method of manufacture and engineering planning for manufacture and reworks
- Capable of producing technical documentation packs, including Work Instructions, SOP's Visual Aid Procedures
- Tooling and fixture design to aid machining and inspection activities are essential
- Ability to create and drive a resource plan to achieve specific deadlines
- Demonstrate experience of leadership responsibilities
- Proven experience carrying out Continuous Improvement activities
- Strong GD&T knowledge

Solid experience as a Manufacturing Engineer who is keen to develop and progress their career. Candidates who have worked as a CAD CAM Engineer, CAD CAM Programmer, Manufacturing Manager, Lead Manufacturing & Planning Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Manufacturing Planning Engineer, Lead Engineer, Lead Planning Engineer or a role of a similar nature are encouraged to apply.
