We are recruiting for a Principal AI Solutions Architect to join a global technology consultancy supporting enterprise Pharma, Biotech, Healthcare and Life Sciences clients on large-scale AI transformation initiatives.
Principal AI Solutions Architect - Pharma, Biotech, Healthcare & Life Sciences
Location: US / Remote
(East or Central time zones with occasional client visits)
Salary: Circa $190,000-$240,000 + Benefits
This is a senior, high-impact opportunity sitting at the intersection of AI strategy, solution architecture, client advisory and hands-on innovation delivery. The role is focused on helping pharma, biotech, healthcare and life sciences organizations adopt and scale AI capabilities that deliver measurable operational and commercial value.
You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, delivery teams and AI leadership functions to identify high-value AI use cases, shape AI roadmaps, prototype solutions and support enterprise adoption of modern AI technologies across regulated environments.
The position combines strategic consulting with practical AI solution design, with a strong focus on GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG architectures, cloud AI ecosystems and scalable enterprise delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead AI/ML ideation, discovery and proof-of-concept initiatives with enterprise clients
Design and prototype GenAI applications leveraging RAG, Agentic AI and hybrid AI architectures
Help shape enterprise AI strategy and identify commercially valuable AI opportunities
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable AI-enabled solutions
Lead stakeholder workshops, AI demonstrations and solution validation sessions
Guide cross-functional engineering and delivery teams through AI PoC and MVP execution
Build AI solutions leveraging hyperscaler AI ecosystems including Azure, AWS and GCP
Develop AI applications integrated with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks
Support AI-enabled operational optimization, intelligent copilots, personalization engines and automation initiatives
Define reusable AI accelerators, frameworks and scalable architectural patterns
Advise stakeholders on responsible AI adoption, explainability and governance considerations
Evaluate trade-offs between commercial LLM APIs and open-source AI models
Support the development of AI best practices, enablement materials and internal innovation capability
Act as a trusted advisor across both technical and business leadership teams
Key Skills & Experience
Extensive experience within Pharma, Biotech, Healthcare or Life Sciences environments
Strong experience delivering AI solutions within enterprise or consultancy environments
Proven background operating in client-facing AI architecture, consulting or solution leadership roles
Hands-on experience with AI services across Azure, AWS and/or GCP
Experience designing and implementing RAG-based AI applications
Strong understanding of GenAI ecosystems, LLM orchestration and modern AI application architectures
Experience working with Snowflake and/or Databricks within AI or data platform environments
Experience leading AI PoCs, MVPs or innovation initiatives from concept through to delivery
Ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into structured AI solutions and delivery plans
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across both business and technical audiences
Understanding of regulated environments, healthcare workflows and compliance considerations
Experience balancing scalability, cost optimization and architectural best practice within AI solution design
Desirable
Exposure to healthcare data standards such as FHIR or HL7
Experience with vector databases, semantic retrieval or AI orchestration frameworks
Knowledge of LangChain, Semantic Kernel or similar frameworks
Exposure to responsible AI frameworks, explainability and AI governance
Experience creating technical enablement content, demos or innovation assets
Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments
Package
Circa $190,000-$240,000 USD base salary
