EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Rotherham, that is currently in the market for a Senior Quality Inspector to join their company on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities
Due to internal changes and off the back of continued success, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Inspector to take a leading role within the inspection team, act as a technical go-to, and support the implementation and maintenance of their Integrated Management System.
Your responsibilities will include:
As a Senior Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day inspection activities and providing technical guidance to the team.
You will:
Lead and mentor a growing inspection team, a culture of continuous improvement and 'right first time' quality
Act as the primary technical expert, applying extensive manufacturing and engineering knowledge to complex projects and quality requirements
Liaise effectively with the technical engineering department, making autonomous decisions on quality and knowing when to escalate issues
Contribute to and support site improvement activities, ensuring compliance with ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 standards
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
Proven experience working within the Quality Inspection department within a precision engineering / advanced manufacturing environment
Ability to perform inspection activities using manual measuring equipment
Confidence in identifying non-conforming products
An understanding of manufacturing processes (either metallic, composite, resin, plastics), of precision components
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to converse with various internal and external audiences
Experience with recognised Quality Systems (AS9100/ISO9000), including producing FAIRs, ISIRs, and coordinating corrective action investigations.
Confidence, self-motivation, and the ability to work on own initiative, providing leadership and problem-solving within the team
