EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a skilled MIG Welder with structural and heavy-gauge experience to join a precision engineering company located in Nottinghamshire, working on a permanent basis. 

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

EMBS Engineering is working in exclusive partnership with a rapidly growing, forward-thinking, innovative precision engineering company that specialises in the manufacture of complex, safety-critical components for a number of high-profile industry sectors.
 


Your responsibilities include:

  • MIG / MAG Welding of heavy-duty and structural materials such as Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminium

  • Multi-run fillet and butt welding on medium to heavy fabrications

  • Coding standards or structural certificates would be beneficial

  • Following engineering drawings and fabrication layouts

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 3 years MIG / MAG Welding experience

  • Heavy fabrication and plating experience is essential for this role

  • Ability to read complex engineering drawings and follow weld maps

  • Experience working on medium to large-scale fabrications within the Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Structural, or Power industries

  • Worked with a variety of material thicknesses and grades (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, etc.)

Please note: All successful candidates asked forward for an interview will be required to perform a multi-position MIG weld test.
