Term: 3 Month Contract

Overview
EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a precision engineering company based in Derby, who have a vacancy within their Quality Department for a Quality Inspector working days. Our client is looking for a candidate with relevant and proven experience in a quality inspection role, who is seeking the opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing organisation.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out 1st Off Inspection, Receipt Inspection, and Inspection and Calibration activities to support operations
  • Run CMM programmes, analysing and recording results and making appropriate quality decisions
  • Support the internal non-conformance process, raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured
  • Liaise closely with Engineering to ensure the smooth transition of new products (New Product Introduction)
  • Identify and communicate non-conforming components in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure
  • Support Root Cause Analysis activities when non-conformance occurs, helping to prevent reoccurrence
  • Keep work areas tidy, clean and maintained in accordance with 5S requirements
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities to help maximise efficiency


Schedule

  • 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Day Shift:
  • Flexible start time between 07:00 and 08:00
  • Flexible finish time between 16:00 and 17:00, Monday to Thursday
  • Finish at 12:00 on Friday


Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Relevant and proven experience in a Quality Inspection role
  • Confident with manual measuring equipment and CMM
  • Experience and strong understanding on FAIR's
  • Aerospace experience would be desirable
