EMBS is working in partnership with a leading contractor delivering a major power and infrastructure project, that is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join their team. Working closely with the site and client project teams, you will play a central role in ensuring environmental compliance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle — protecting both the environment and the project's standing with regulators and stakeholders.
This is an urgent, site-based requirement in Norfolk and an excellent opportunity to take ownership of environmental performance on a high-profile project, providing environmental advice and support across the project and the wider business.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the SHE Manager, our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to provide environmental advice and support across the project and the wider business, ensuring compliance is maintained at every stage.
As an Environmental Advisor, you will monitor and ensure compliance with environmental legislation, company policies and the site Development Consent Order (DCO), while managing Siltbuster units and water discharge within Environment Agency (EA) permitted levels. You will conduct environmental audits, inspections and risk assessments, and develop, implement and maintain Environmental Management Systems (EMS) across the project. Advising on waste management, pollution prevention and resource efficiency will be central to the role, alongside liaising with regulatory bodies and managing environmental permits and reporting through the Principal Contractor.
You will also deliver environmental awareness training and toolbox talks (TBTs) to staff, lead investigations into environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions, and assist in achieving and maintaining relevant environmental certifications. Reporting on environmental performance metrics and recommending improvements will round out the role.
