Overview 

EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering company in Nottingham, seeking a Skilled CMM Programmer to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic organisation involved in highly specialised engineering for industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) using M-Cosmos or PCDMIS software
  • Conducting first-piece inspection checks to validate part quality and specifications
  • Supporting technical queries related to inspection and measurement processes
  • Participating in problem-solving activities to improve processes and resolve quality issues


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in precision engineering, preferably within sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Defence, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, or Medical industries
  • Proficient in CMM programming with M-Cosmos or PCDMIS software
  • Experienced in visual and dimensional inspection of complex parts using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators
  • Expertise in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Preferred experience with optical inspection systems
  • Ability to interpret mechanical part and assembly drawings accurately
