EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a skilled Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering company located in North Nottingham, working permanently.
Our client is an engineering manufacturing specialist based in the North Nottingham region, supplying high-integrity machined parts, assemblies, and fabrications to sectors such as nuclear, defence, aerospace, and petrochemical. With over 40 years of heritage as part of the UK’s critical supply chain, the company is committed to providing high-quality components within highly regulated industries.
Due to the nature of the work & industries supported within this position, candidates may be subject to requiring security clearances, therefore, our client is unable to support visa applications from residents outside of the UK. Only applications meeting this criteria will be considered.
Key Benefits on offer:
£16 - £17 per hour depending on experience
Days with an early finish on Fridays OR Monday to Thursday Days
Overtime is available at premium rates
Regular pay reviews to be market-competitive
In-house training academy
Your responsibilities include:
Inspecting precision machined components using manual measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, calipers etc and/or CMM
Performing first-off, stage and final inspection
Working with various critical components and working to extremely tight tolerances
Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:
Ability to perform inspection activities (both visual and dimensional) using manual measuring equipment
Experience of carrying out First off and Final Inspection
Confidence in identifying non-conforming products
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing
Able to operate CMM's
Knowledge of FAIRs would be advantageous
Strong attention to detail
Good communications skills and the ability to work well within a team
