Purchasing Coordinator

Location: Tamworth
Permanent | Day Shift

EMBS Engineering is hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to join a growing team, focusing on material control, expediting, and purchasing. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining accurate system updates within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Purchasing Coordinator:

  • Place Orders from MRP – Process daily purchase orders using the ERP system
  • Expedite Materials & Update System – Ensure timely delivery and track outstanding orders
  • Monitor Inventory & Lead Times – Work within system-driven parameters (min quantities, lead times, reorder points)
  • Supplier Coordination – Work with a set group of suppliers (no sourcing or negotiations required)
  • Daily Reporting & Prioritisation – Run ERP reports, track outstanding materials, and chase late deliveries
  • Material Control – Focus on bringing in raw materials efficiently


Who We’re Looking For:

  • Previously worked as a Purchasing Coordinator or in a role of a similar nature
  • Experience in Buying, Expediting, or Material Control (Ideally in manufacturing/engineering)
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP Systems – Comfortable running system-driven purchasing processes
  • Strong Organisational Skills – Ability to track, manage, and expedite materials effectively
  • Attention to Detail – Ensuring orders are placed accurately and materials arrive on time
  • Resilient & Adaptable – Able to handle a fast-paced work environment
