About the Role
We are looking for a client-facing 3rd Line Support Engineer with a background in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 to join a growing Managed Services Provider based in Mansfield. This hybrid role involves a mix of remote working, Mansfield office days, and occasional on-site visits to client locations across the East Midlands.
As a senior member of the support team, you'll be responsible for complex troubleshooting, infrastructure support, and assisting with on-prem to Azure cloud migrations for small to mid-sized clients. You’ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting Azure environments, with a strong emphasis on hands-on support and customer engagement.
Act as an escalation point for 2nd Line Engineers and resolve advanced technical issues
Design, implement, and support Azure environments for SME clients
Lead and support on-prem to Azure migrations, including tenant setup, identity management, and workload migration
Configure and support core Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive
Assist with network and connectivity issues, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and routing
Perform root cause analysis and provide long-term solutions
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and on-site visits
Contribute to technical documentation and internal knowledge sharing
Occasionally assist with out-of-hours support or project-based work when required
Azure Active Directory (AAD)
Knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
PowerShell scripting for admin and automation tasks
Security and compliance in Microsoft 365 environments
Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and VPNs
Hands-on experience with switches, routers, and basic network troubleshooting
Experience supporting Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
Familiarity with ConnectWise or similar MSP tools
Experience working within an MSP environment
Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
A proactive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you’ll be client-facing, so professionalism is key
A full UK driving license and willingness to travel locally to customer sites
Be a key player in exciting Azure migration projects
Work closely with technical leadership in a collaborative, supportive team
