EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Stores Team Leader to join a leading precision engineering company in Tamworth on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities of a Stores Team Leader:

  • Lead and coach the logistics team to ensure a structured and efficient supply flow to meet fast-paced production demands.
  • Drive continuous improvement by achieving high availability, stock accuracy, and on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery for better business and customer service.
  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of all deliveries, ensuring adherence to procedures and verification of goods against expectations.
  • Enforce all Health & Safety rules and Company procedures, and maintain high housekeeping standards in storage areas.Develop and implement standard work practices, collaborate with the Warehouse Manager, and partner with internal teams to ensure smooth stock movement and timely deliveries, resolving any issues promptly.


Requirements for this role:

  • Previous experience in despatch, packing, or stores within manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse environments
  • Experienced in developing well-organised teams and leading them to achieve exceptional results through coaching and inspiration
  • Strong computer literacy – able to use Excel and ERP systems confidently
  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to spot potential issues
  • Honest and proactive approach 
  • Efficient and well-organised working style
  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Adheres to current policies and procedures but also focuses on their continuous improvement and sustainability to ensure they remain fit for purpose
