The Role:
We are seeking a Legal and Compliance Manager with a robust legal background, ideally gained in a legal practice or corporate compliance setting. This pivotal role involves ensuring the commercial viability and compliance of all contracts, bids, and tender documentation. You'll provide critical support by reviewing legal documents, managing compliance processes, and monitoring regulatory updates, equipping the organisation to make informed, risk-aware decisions in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, commercially astute Legal and Compliance Manager with proven experience in legal and compliance management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in reviewing contracts, identifying compliance gaps, and collaborating across teams to support strategic goals. Strong communication skills and a forward-thinking approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Review & Compliance: Analyse contracts, bid documents, and tenders to ensure compliance with organisational standards and regulations.
Collaboration: Partner with the central legal team to maintain up-to-date and compliant documentation.
Commercial Support: Work with finance and commercial teams to optimise contract value while supporting strategic goals.
Governance: Oversee customer contracts within a well-organised and compliant framework.
Policy Development: Create and implement compliance policies that uphold international standards.
Regulatory Advice: Monitor changes in regulations, advising on impacts and adjusting policies as needed.
Reporting: Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership, offering actionable insights.
Process Optimisation: Enhance processes and data management, driving continuous improvement.
Gap Analysis: Identify and address compliance weaknesses, proposing robust solutions.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Expertise: Proven experience in legal and compliance management, particularly with commercial contracts.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or related fields, showcasing analytical and legal acumen.
Commercial Focus: Ability to align contracts, bids, and tenders with organisational goals.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with international compliance standards, especially in technology or infrastructure.
Attention to Detail: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to compliance.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for effective stakeholder engagement.
Organisation: Exceptional multitasking and organisational skills to manage complex compliance activities.
