Are you an experienced Cost Modelling Consultant / Cost Management Accountant with a background in automotive, motorsport, or advanced manufacturing? We’re partnering with a cutting-edge high-performance engine programme that needs financial leadership to shape its cost strategy from the ground up.
Location: Hybrid (Remote with site visits - Stafford)
Start Date: ASAP
Engagement: Contract / Fractional (Outside IR35) - 2 to 5 days per week
Day Rate: £Negotiable / Excellent (Fractional or Contract Opportunity)
Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with strong extension potential
This is a contract or fractional consulting role, designed for someone who thrives in fast-moving, technically complex environments where traditional ERP systems may not cut it.
Key Focus Areas:
Design and implement scalable cost models for engine development
Build robust financial processes across engineering, procurement and operations
Identify cost leakage and drive actionable insights for decision-makers
Develop board-ready reporting and cost control governance
Work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders to embed best practices
About You:
Extensive experience in cost modelling / financial cost control
Deep knowledge of absorption costing and engineered product cost structures
Previous exposure to F1, Motor Sport, Automotive, Aerospace, or Low-Volume Manufacturing
Confident working independently while integrating seamlessly with wider teams
Able to challenge assumptions and influence at board level
