Senior Service Delivery Manager (12-Month FTC)
Are you an accomplished Service Delivery professional seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Our client, a leading global professional services organisation, is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Senior Service Delivery Manager to join their dynamic team in Manchester on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
In this pivotal role, you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Service Delivery Managers, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure the successful end-to-end delivery of complex service projects. You will be responsible for building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all service delivery matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Service Delivery Managers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. This includes performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex service delivery projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes planning, execution, monitoring, and risk management.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact for service delivery matters. Proactively identify and address client needs and concerns.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for service delivery, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving operational excellence. This includes process optimisation, technology adoption, and innovation.
Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring projects are financially viable and contribute to the overall profitability of the Operate Hub.
Effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across all levels.
Prepare regular reports on service delivery performance, identifying key trends and insights. Analyse data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Proactively identify and resolve complex service delivery issues, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, IT).
Minimum 8+ years of experience in service delivery management, with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
Strong leadership and mentorship skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent client relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
Proven experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience working within a professional services environment.
Experience with service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile).
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PRINCE2, PMP).
Experience with financial services clients.
Contract Duration: 12 months (Fixed-term contract)
