Senior Service Delivery Manager (12-Month FTC)

Are you an accomplished Service Delivery professional seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Our client, a leading global professional services organisation, is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Senior Service Delivery Manager to join their dynamic team in Manchester on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

In this pivotal role, you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Service Delivery Managers, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure the successful end-to-end delivery of complex service projects. You will be responsible for building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all service delivery matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Service Delivery Managers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. This includes performance management, talent development, and succession planning.

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex service delivery projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes planning, execution, monitoring, and risk management.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact for service delivery matters. Proactively identify and address client needs and concerns.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for service delivery, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving operational excellence. This includes process optimisation, technology adoption, and innovation.

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring projects are financially viable and contribute to the overall profitability of the Operate Hub.

  • Effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across all levels.

  • Prepare regular reports on service delivery performance, identifying key trends and insights. Analyse data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

  • Proactively identify and resolve complex service delivery issues, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, IT).

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in service delivery management, with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.

  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.

  • Excellent client relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

  • Proven experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working within a professional services environment.

  • Experience with service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile).

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PRINCE2, PMP).

  • Experience with financial services clients.

 

 

Contract Duration: 12 months (Fixed-term contract)
