Junior Project Manager

We’re working exclusively with a Derby-based tech business to help them find their next Junior Project Manager. This role is perfect for someone who’s started out as a Project Coordinator or in an IT project support role and is now ready to step up.

The company deliver enterprise-level IT solutions, working on complex and secure systems that really make an impact for their customers. They’ve got a fantastic track record of supporting people early in their careers, and this hire comes with a clear pathway to becoming a Senior Project Manager within the next two years.

Why this role?

  • You’ll get exposure to the full project lifecycle – from planning and stakeholder engagement through to delivery.
     
  • It will involve some customer interactions, so you’ll be building confidence in meetings, developing strong relationships, and becoming the go-to person for delivery updates.
     
  • Hybrid working model – after your induction, you’ll spend 3 days a week in Derby and the rest remote.
     
  • You’ll be supported and mentored by senior leaders who want to see you grow.
     

What we’re looking for:

  • Around 1–2 years’ commercial experience in a project coordination, junior PM, or IT project role
     
  • IT background (degree or relevant work experience)
     
  • Strong communication and organisational skills – confident speaking to customers as well as internal teams
     
  • Someone ambitious, proactive, and keen to develop into a senior role
     
  • Must be eligible for SC clearance (UK resident for the last 5 years)
