Overview

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting a skilled CNC Grinder to join a precision engineering company located in North Nottingham, working permanently.


Please note, due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents; we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

  • Hourly Rate: Circa £17 per hour 
  • Hours:
    • Days: Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Friday! 
  • Benefits:
    • Overtime is available at premium rates (x1.5 after 39 hours and x2 on Sundays)

EMBS Engineering is in an exclusive partnership with a reputable engineering company located in Nottinghamshire, which is a globally recognised, market-leading precision engineering/manufacturing business that supports world-renowned industry leaders.


Your responsibilities include:

  • As a CNC Grinder, the successful individual will be setting and operating CNC Cylindrical Grinding machines using Fanuc controls.
    You will be working with state-of-the-art, modern machinery in a busy and challenging environment

​​​​​​​​​​​Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:​​​​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​​​​​
  • Previous CNC Grinding experience - Cylindrical 
  • Experience using Jones and Shipman Ultramats, Kellenberger or Okomoto experience would be preferable.
  • Ability to set and operate CNC Grinding machines using Fanuc controls
  • Confident performing multiple setups per day
  • Worked on small to medium-sized components
  • Adhered to high standards and tight tolerances
  • Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Work well on their own or within a team
