Bid Manager (Industrial MV/LV) Near Dublin | Office-based | Competitive, dependent on experience
Here's why this one's worth a look if you're estimating or tendering on industrial electrical projects.
You'd own the industrial tender desk for a privately owned Irish electrical contractor. Right now the MD handles most of the day-to-day tendering himself, and he wants someone to take it off his plate and run it properly. Not to administer a process. To own it, start to finish.
That means real autonomy from the off. You read the enquiry, you decide whether it's worth chasing, you price it, you hand it over. No one looking over your shoulder telling you who to ring.
The work is the steady, mid-size stuff: jobs from around €100k up to €3–4m across data centre, pharma and utility clients, including sites in Europe. A typical recent one needed three ring main units, three e-houses and three transformers. On a busy day you might field ten enquiries across all three sectors, so the commercial judgement to prioritise matters as much as the technical knowledge.
This isn't the large MV/HV substation tender side. That sits elsewhere. This is the bread-and-butter volume that keeps the business busy, and it's only growing.
Who it suits
You'll fit if:
The business is realistic. If you're 70–80% of the way there with the right attitude and you want to grow into it, that's a conversation worth having.
What you'll need
The catch, said plainly
It's office-based, not remote. You're handing projects to the delivery teams, so you need to be in the room with them.
How to apply
