embs. is working in partnership with a fast-growing, pan-European renewable energy business, the distributed generation arm of a major international renewables platform, that is expanding its commercial team in Ireland and is seeking a Bid Development Manager to join on a permanent basis.
With two decades of Irish market experience, 700+ completed projects and a portfolio spanning commercial and industrial solar deployment, this is a business operating at the commercial heart of Ireland's renewable energy transition. The pipeline is growing fast, and multiple signed projects are waiting on the right people to deliver them.
Competitive salary: A competitive package, reviewed against performance and market and reflecting your experience in bid management and renewable energy.
Hybrid working: Waterford-based with hybrid flexibility and Flexible Fridays built into the working week.
Health & wellbeing: Private health insurance after probation, income protection, death-in-service cover, and a birthday day off every year.
Career & development: Dedicated CPD budget, professional membership fees covered, and genuine internal progression within a fast-growing pan-European renewables business.

Off the back of continued growth across all market sectors, our client is seeking an experienced Bid Development Manager to take single-point ownership of the end-to-end bidding process and to help the business win new commercial opportunities.
As Bid Development Manager, you will own the full bidding process from initial enquiry through to submission — developing costings, proposal documentation and bespoke quotations tailored to client specifications across multiple market sectors. The core focus of the role is managing high-quality bids and winning new business, so you will work proactively to grow sales and develop new opportunities against clear performance targets, while participating actively in business planning and promoting the company and its services.
Alongside this, you will provide technical sales support to new and existing customers — handling enquiries, preparing bespoke pricing quotations and maintaining excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle — and liaise closely with senior stakeholders to ensure every bid reflects commercial, technical and strategic priorities. You will also generate monthly sales reports, maintain accurate documentation and records, and keep pace with industry developments to support strategy and competitive positioning.
Successful applicants will:
If you have the bid management discipline, the technical sales acumen and the drive to win new business — and you meet the criteria outlined above — apply today to join a business at the commercial heart of Ireland's renewable energy future.
