Are you an experienced Senior Software Engineer looking for a hands-on role with leadership opportunities? This is your chance to shape a brand-new UK development team, working on innovative solutions in luxury omni-channel commerce.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and scaling high-performance applications. This role will evolve quickly into a lead position, where you’ll take ownership of projects and guide a small team while staying actively involved in development.

We value collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous improvement, working in an Agile environment to drive innovation and deliver exceptional products.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and developing scalable, high-performance applications
  • Working with a modern tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, AWS
  • Implementing asynchronous programming techniques to optimise performance
  • Using Docker & Terraform to automate infrastructure and streamline deployments
  • Owning projects end-to-end – from discovery to deployment and beyond
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, product managers, and designers
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript experience
  • Strong skills in React or Node.js
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous operations and handling concurrency
  • Experience with modern web tooling, including ES6, bundlers, linters, and testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with Docker & Terraform for infrastructure automation
  • A passion for leadership, problem-solving, and driving technical excellence
