We are recruiting an AI Consultant - AI CoE Lead. This is a senior, high-impact leadership role focused on building and leading an AI Centre of Excellence, driving strategy, innovation and scalable AI delivery across complex enterprise environments.
AI Consultant - AI CoE Lead
Location: US / Remote
(East or Central time zones with monthly on-site client visits)
Salary: Circa $240,000 USD per year
With strong executive visibility, significant internal investment in AI capability, and the mandate to shape enterprise-wide AI strategy, you will operate as the trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. You will guide roadmap decisions, prioritize high-value initiatives, and ensure AI programs translate into tangible, measurable commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the AI Centre of Excellence, establishing best practice, standards and governance
Define and drive enterprise AI strategy aligned to business objectives
Identify, assess and prioritize high-value AI use cases and transformation initiatives
Act as the primary AI advisor to executive stakeholders and business leaders
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product owners and delivery teams to scope and implement AI solutions
Oversee end-to-end AI lifecycle delivery - from ideation through to production and scaling
Champion responsible AI principles, data governance and ethical AI practices
Mentor and develop AI talent, strengthening internal capability and knowledge sharing
Communicate program progress, value, risks and outcomes to senior leadership
Key Skills & Experience
7+ years’ experience in AI consulting, AI architecture, data science leadership or similar
Proven track record delivering AI initiatives in enterprise environments
Strong knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, tools and deployment practices
Experience partnering directly with executive stakeholders and translating business needs into AI strategy
Hands-on collaboration experience with technical delivery teams
Strong understanding of AI ethics, governance and data privacy principles
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership capability
Experience operating in complex, fast-moving environments
Desirable
Experience establishing or scaling an AI Centre of Excellence
Familiarity with cloud AI platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science or related field

c$240,000 base salary
