We are working with a global technology consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Strategic Account Manager to lead and grow key enterprise client relationships within the travel and transportation sector.
Senior Strategic Account Manager - Travel Industry
Location: London - Hybrid (client office approx. 3 days per week)
Salary: £120-140K base + OTB (25–30%) + Benefits
This is a senior client-facing role responsible for managing large-scale strategic accounts while driving growth and ensuring successful delivery of complex technology services and custom software solutions.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders on the client side - including engineering and technology leaders - while partnering internally with delivery teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and continued account expansion.
The role is London-based with a hybrid working model, requiring regular visits to the client office (approximately three days per week).
The Role
This position sits at the intersection of client relationship management, delivery oversight, and strategic account growth.
You will act as the primary senior contact for enterprise clients, ensuring strong partnerships while identifying opportunities to expand services and increase long-term value.
Success in this role requires strong experience working with enterprise clients in customer-facing industries such as travel, retail, transportation, or loyalty platforms, alongside a solid background in technology services and custom software delivery.
What You Will Be Doing
Managing and growing strategic enterprise client relationships within the travel industry
Acting as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders and executive leadership
Developing and executing strategic account plans aligned with client objectives
Overseeing the delivery of complex technology services and custom software engagements
Managing overall account performance including revenue, profitability, and growth
Identifying new business opportunities within existing client environments
Collaborating with global delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes
Supporting executive-level engagement across engineering, technology, and business stakeholders
Monitoring engagement performance against agreed account metrics
Managing contract compliance, billing, and commercial performance
Supporting risk identification and mitigation across complex engagements
Coordinating with third parties involved in service delivery when required
Providing regular reporting on account performance, opportunities, and strategic priorities
What We Are Looking For
10+ years of experience in account management, sales, consulting, or customer-facing technology roles
Proven experience managing large enterprise accounts with multi-million-pound revenue responsibility
5+ years experience working within travel, retail, transportation, loyalty platforms, or other customer-facing industries
3+ years working within technology services or consulting organisations
Experience delivering or managing custom software development services
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and modern technology environments
Demonstrated ability to work with senior client stakeholders and executive leadership teams
Experience managing large, distributed delivery teams and complex engagements
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing account revenue, margins, and growth opportunities
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
