Lead UX Designer – Pathway to Head of UX | London Hybrid | Up to £85,000
I’m working with a company operating at the cutting edge of security, resilience, and critical infrastructure technology. Their products safeguard people and operations worldwide, and they are now investing heavily in design leadership to take their portfolio to the next level.
This is an incredible opportunity for a Lead UX Designer to shape the future of user experience across a suite of mission-critical digital products. You’ll be working directly with the Director of Product Management and the VP of Engineering, and you’ll have a clear career pathway to Head of UX.
What you’ll be doing
Taking ownership of the UX vision across a core product set used globally in high-stakes environments
Driving user-centred design from discovery through to delivery
Building and scaling design systems in Figma (or similar tools) to ensure consistency and efficiency
Collaborating with product, engineering, and stakeholders to turn complex challenges into intuitive, usable experiences
Leading by example and preparing to grow and mentor other UX team members as the function expands
What we’re looking for
Proven experience as a UX Designer with a strong portfolio of end-to-end design work
Deep expertise in design and prototyping tools (Figma or equivalent)
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills – able to explain design thinking to non-designers
Experience working closely with engineers and product leaders in agile environments
A leader at heart, ready to guide others and step into a Head of UX role in the near future
The offer
Salary up to £85,000
Hybrid working with one day per week in London
Direct exposure to senior product and engineering leadership
A clear progression pathway to Head of UX
This role is perfect for a UX Designer who is ready to take the lead, influence product strategy, and grow into a leadership role where the impact of design is felt across the business.
