VP of Engineering – Build, Shape, Lead | Remote with UK Travel | £150,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Future Stock Options
This is one of those rare roles that blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical influence. You’ll work in partnership with the CEO and VP of Product to build an onshore engineering team from the ground up, define the technology stack, set the strategy, and drive world-class delivery.
What you’ll be doing
Building and leading an onshore engineering team capable of delivering enterprise-grade, global software products
Shaping the technology stack and architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and compliance in complex environments
Driving culture, process, and execution – creating a high-performance, collaborative engineering organisation
Partnering with the CEO and VP of Product to align engineering with business strategy and customer needs
Overseeing delivery across continents and time zones, shipping innovative products at scale
Leveraging machine learning, big data, and emerging tech to push the boundaries of what’s possible
What we’re looking for
A proven senior engineering leader (Head of Engineering, Director, or VP level) with international delivery experience
Someone who has shaped architecture and technology choices – not just overseen them from a distance
Experience scaling engineering teams and embedding a culture of accountability and high performance
A track record of shipping enterprise software products successfully, ideally across multiple geographies
Strong stakeholder partnership skills, able to influence at C-level and balance commercial with technical priorities
